Sussex Double Rise

The Sussex Double Rise Championship was held at Dartford on Sunday 12th May.

Sharing the day with Kent, Sussex mustered 14 shooters; not bad for an esoteric discipline and exactly twice the Kent contingent. The overall event was won by Kent’s top trap international, Tony Coulstock with a score of 80/100, variable winds creating havoc with the trajectory of the second target downrange.

Cracking fun but a little frustrating, with much shaking of heads clearly evident!

Sussex Champions on the day were:

Overall: Alasdair Williams 74,

Veteran: Cliff Goodwin 73

 Lady: Jennifer Baker 56

Colt: Max Hudson 34

The Junior category was sadly not contested.   Well done to all our champions and thanks to Dartford for a hosting the event and running a flawless competition.

Separated by 30yrs and a single target, Cliff Goodwin (left) Sussex DR Vet Champ and Al Williams Sussex DR Champion
